Douglas Cramer Creative is a communications and publishing business based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I have lived in the American Southwest for more than 20 years and have a deep appreciation for the people, places and work of the region.

Raised in Cranford, New Jersey, I am a graduate of Rutgers University (Bachelor of Arts, English) with over 25 years of experience in publishing and technology, including 15 years as a consultant and small business owner. I have held positions in communications and team leadership with many businesses and organizations and am a master of business processes and procedure development.

​

My professional education includes extensive coursework and training in fields such as artificial intelligence; business analysis; cybersecurity and digital identity; education and learning; enterprise software deployment; and technology research. Over my career, I have attended more than fifty major professional conferences across the United States and internationally.

I am an editor and published writer with extensive experience in business writing; development writing; marketing and promotional writing; instructional writing; technical writing; and speech writing. My editing experience includes academic, business and technical editing for subject matter experts as well as expertise with AP and Chicago Manual of Style editorial style guides.

A graduate of Wyoming’s National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), I am an avid hiker and woodworker with a deep interest in sustainability and conservation. In addition to professional areas of interest including writing, design, mentoring, technology, productivity, and ethical business practices, I write about mindful living; biking, boating, and outdoor adventures; and animals, language, crafting, food, culture, and other passions.
