Raised in Cranford, New Jersey, I am a graduate of Rutgers University (Bachelor of Arts, English) with twenty five years of experience in publishing and technology, including fifteen years as a small business owner in Santa Fe, New Mexico; Lakewood, Colorado; and Poulsbo, Washington. I have held positions in communications and team leadership with several businesses and organizations, including Allmerica Financial, Amherst College, Ancient Faith Publishing, the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America, the Channing Bete Company, Colorado State University, and Eastern Mountain Sports.

I am a published magazine author with extensive experience in business writing; grant proposal writing; promotional writing; instructional writing; technical writing; and speech writing. Over my career, I have attended more than fifty major professional conferences across the United States and internationally. I am a graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) in Lander, Wyoming, and an avid hiker and woodworker with a deep interest in sustainable practices and conservation. In addition to professional areas of interest like writing, design, mentoring, technology, productivity, and ethical business practices, I write about mindful living; balancing work and family; Western American life; biking, boating and other outdoor adventures; and language, crafting, food, culture, and all those things I do when not in front of a screen.
